ROCKVILLE MD – The Yi Team is celebrating their one year anniversary since opening the new Fairway Independent Mortgage branch in Rockville MD. Creating a well planned mortgage for long term wealth is always the goal for The Yi Team. To many borrowers, these loan officers are heroes making dreams come true.

So why not celebrate with a superhero themed happy hour! Customers and business referral partners are coming together at Clyde’s Tower Oaks for a few hours of fun to mark this milestone anniversary on Thursday, June 13th.
MILESTONES REACHED
Since opening their new location on Shady Grove Road in 2018, The Yi Team has punched through many business milestones. In addition to opening the Rockville location, The Yi Team brought on additional mortgage heroes to help even more borrowers reach their goals of homeownership and personal wealth. Loan officer Derek Harman and assistant Christa Fitch joined the team in December, to round off the existing pros, Chong Yi, Branch Manager, Erin Finke, Loan Officer, Jennifer Hansel, Loan Assistant, and Kellie Hodges, Brand Manager.
In order to best support their referral partners, The Yi Team has increased their licensing universe to now include Maryland, Virginia, DC, Delaware, Florida and Pennsylvania. This has allowed them to help more than 100 families build their wealth through homeownership last year.
Smart technology is a Yi Team superpower. Starting with their exclusive website, www.theyiteam.com, they make online applications as easy as a click of a button. The Fairway App means borrowers and real estate agents can track a loan in progress in real time, leaving nothing to chance.
Education is another Yi Team strength. Chong Yi champions Mortgage Mondays on Great Day Washington WUSA9. Erin Finke spreads her mortgage intelligence on her weekly podcast, Coffee and Jam, co-hosted by realtor, Alexandra Ross of Ross Residential RE/MAX.
The Yi Team stays at the pinnacle of their industry by focusing on creating mortgages that build wealth. “We think of mortgages not merely as debt, but as a financial tool that allows a borrower to maximize their short term and long term financial goals. We strive to be mortgage advisors, and act in advisory role,” says Chong.
Opening their own branch allowed The Yi Team to participate in charities was an important milestone for the loan pros. This year Chong Yi was selected as a Real Men Wear Pink competitor, supporting the American Cancer Society. The Yi Team’s fall fundraiser was a major success and Chong Yi won the competition raising almost $9,000 for the charity. “It was a proud moment for me. Supporting my community has always been important but having my own branch meant that I was able to make a much larger impact on something I believe in. I plan to continue working with them this year too,” says Chong.
