We’re Grilling At Home
Summer is here and The Yi Team is warming up their grills! A good old fashioned cook out is the perfect way to enjoy time with family and our homes. Take a peek behind the scenes at how we grill out at home!
Our door is always open! Come on over!

Derek Harman’s Outdoor Kitchen
Derek is the master of the outdoor kitchen. The built in Lynx Sedona grill is the star of the show and makes everything taste even better. Today, Derek is making marinated, grilled chicken with lime, chili and cilantro for dinner. Add a cold brew on the side and you are ready for summer! Wave to the neighbors Derek!

Charcoal All The Way
You might see John Walowac’s propane grill in the background, as well as his firepit. But for the real grilling at home experience, John says it’s charcoal all the way! Check out John’s technique of the coals on one side so he has different temperature zones on his grill.
That’s a lot of potatoes John!

ERIN’S FAVORITE GRILL JOINT
As most moms know, it’s nice to take a break from cooking at home. So when Erin Finke wants a good grilled burger she heads to White’s Ferry on the Potomac River in Poolesville. Looks like she got all the fixings!
Her daughter Peyton prefers a pickle hoagie which looks delicious! This might be a great choice for the low carb fans out there.

Erin’s other little dude is a snacker and not quite up to grilled cheeseburgers yet, just little cheese doodles. Way to rock the red, white and blue, Cayson!

Lots of Red White and Blue
Kellie likes to pull out the bunting for cookouts on Memorial Day and Labor Day. That red, white, and blue really sets the mood for some summertime fun!
Favorite grill recipe? Always include lots of veggies and salads. Kellie is vegetarian and always throws mushrooms and eggplant on the grill. She rolls the grilled eggplant up with ricotta cheese, parmesan, oregano and tops it with tomato sauce. Yum!
Scroll down for the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad Sandwich recipe. For my veggie friends, try a veggie chik’n patty or grilled portobello mushroom cap instead of the chicken.

Poolside with Jamie
Home means time with family and friends. Jamie Bizelli and her cuties love to celebrate the start of summer by grilling at home and a jump in the pool. She says that anything on the grill is great, it’s the time with family that means the most to her!

Kim Dassing’s Special Reason To Celebrate
Special shout out to the military for Memorial Day! This is Kim Dassing’s son who now lives in Oregon with his two dogs. Kim said it was a nailbiter when he went to Iraq but she couldn’t be more proud of him! Thank you for your service!

Beth Posada’s Special Reason To Celebrate
Beth Posada also has good reason to celebrate military holidays. Her son Chase Posada is serving in the Air Force. Although his international travels are exciting, Beth is happiest when he’s close to home. Thanks for your service Chase!

Falling Rates, Tough Inventory and What I’m Seeing for the 2026 Spring Real Estate Market
We’re stepping into a new year, and one thing is already clear: the spring real estate market is moving earlier than usual. According to recent reports, mortgage applications are up 5% nationally. I sat down with Jose Barreto for the DMV Roundtable to talk it through. I’ve been a lot busier than I normally am…
